3-6 Month Workshop

3-6 Months is a great time to start stepping up your focus on gently encouraging and establishing positive sleep habits in your baby. You are starting to gain in confidence as a new Mum and your baby’s patterns are becoming more predictable. There is also a change that occurs around 3-4 months of age that is an important one. Your baby’s brain now has the connections in place to be able to self-soothe so it is a great time for putting into place the tools and skills that you will learn to confidently manage your baby at this age. You are now able to give your baby a chance to settle on their own. If s/he struggles to settle or resettle, choosing a settling technique that you feel comfortable with will help you to teach these skills to your baby.

Many sleep challenges can arise during this stage because your baby’s brain is now also able to make the connections between their behaviour and the behavioural reaction from you as their parent. Understanding this is key in supporting your baby’s sleep. This workshop builds upon those key foundation skills that you learnt from my 0-3 Months Session, whether you did this privately or as a Coffee Group or in one of my Workshops. If you did not have an opportunity to do this session, don’t worry as it is never too late to arm yourself with information and to learn some great tools and skills.

The focus of this workshop is on providing you with information on what is normal for your baby at this age. Sleep, feeding and activity are all interrelated so have an affect on each other so all of these aspects will be discussed during this workshop. When I am doing this session in your home I have the advantage of observing you in your own setting and how you are managing things with your baby through their feed, wake and sleep cycle. I learn a lot from this observation and so I am able to give you lots of helpful advice, support and reassurance throughout my time visit. (I am not able to teach my Sleep Technique effectively in a workshop setting to give it the respect and time that it deserves as it need to be tailored specifically to each baby. It is one of the greatest tools that you could have in your tool bag so if you would like to learn it, then there are two options. 

If you live in Auckland,  I can come to you but if you live out of Auckland, I can do this in a private session online with you. I will spend approximately 1 hour with you for $50 and guide you through using this technique with your baby.)
