3-6 Months is a great time to start stepping up your focus on encouraging and establishing healthy sleep habits. You are gaining in confidence as a new Mum and your baby’s patterns are becoming much more predictable. There is also a change that occurs around 3-4 months of age that is an important one. Your baby’s brain now has the connections in place to be able to self-soothe so it is a great time for putting into place the tools and skills that you will learn from this session, to confidently manage your baby at this age. You are now able to give your baby a chance to settle on their own. If s/he struggles to settle or resettle, choosing a settling technique that you feel comfortable with will help you to teach those skills to your baby so that they can learn to settle and resettle on their own.
Many sleep challenges can arise during this time because your baby is now able to make the connection between their behaviour and the behavioural reaction from you as their parent. This session just builds upon those key foundation skills that you learnt from my 0-3 months session, whether you did this privately or as a Coffee Group. If you did not have an opportunity to do this session, don’t worry as it is never too late to arm yourself with information and to learn some great tools and skills.
Sleep, feeding and activity are all interrelated so have an affect on each other so I will be discussing all of these aspects during this session. When I am in your home I also have the advantage of observing you in your own setting and how you are managing things with your baby through their feed, wake and sleep cycle. I learn a lot from this observation and so will be able to give you lots of helpful advice, support and reassurance throughout my visit.
You will also have the opportunity to share with me any concerns that you may have and will have plenty of time during our session to ask me loads of questions. Most Mums have a list of questions written down before I arrive and I really encourage this.
A Booklet: Of all the information that is discussed in the session so that you can refer back to it in your own time and make notes/comments a long the way.
A Weeks Phone/Cheerleading Support: You can contact me at anytime to clarify anything that you feel you need more guidance or understanding on during the week following your session.
A Follow-up Phone call: One week on from your session I will contact you to check in and see how things have been going for you. I always look forward to these calls because I usually hear about how much more relaxed and confident you are feeling with using all of your new tools and skills!

This is a very personalised session so it is tailored specifically for you and your baby.
